The New Tigerhouse - May, 2003
Actual moving date is June 9th but here's how it looked on May 18th...
| Front view, with the lilacs... | ...and from the other angle, with roses and mums... |

|
In back is a 2-car garage with additional storage space... |
Also in back is a small deck, from which the view is just heavenly... looking north... |

| The yard features two "tiers"
of traditional lawn. Above is tier 1, looking at the rear of the home... |
...and above is tier 2, looking the other way (north). Suppose it's time to get a riding mower!!! |
Behind the garage is a spacious garden area... it still needs a LOT of work!!! (The house was unoccupied for a whole year.)

In addition to the lawns, the yard also includes an intriguing area below and to the west of tier 2. We named it Prairie Anthrax ("Yes, it's a dreadful name, but it's really a delightful place!" -- Zut, at Castle Anthrax, in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail").

Much of it is quite overgrown and wild...

A stream winds through Prairie
Anthrax:
Alph, the sacred river flowing down to a sunless sea...

A fence with delightful archway divides Prairie Anthrax into halves. The south half has a boardwalk. Birds and other woodland life abound. (Can you see the chipmunk on the fence in the center of the picture on the right?)

And three more miscellaneous pictures in Prairie Anthrax:
| Looking up toward the garden... | ...and again, a little further north... | And one more... the pile of dead growth I'm amassing for burning! |
